What do we do?

Our staff are the only team  at the LSE designated to advise you on the UK student immigration rules. We are based in the Student Services Centre in the Old Building.

There are currently two full time members of staff:

International Student Visa Advice Manager: Bethan Ovens
Senior International Student Visa Adviser: Laura Dyson

How do I know that the advice is correct?

Individual Appointments

We understand that you may wish to have an appointment to discuss your query. Due to the number of international students at LSE, we are not able to offer all students with an appointment on request.  Appointments are only available for complex issues such as refusals, non-standard cases or Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme students.

Can you speak to my parents or a third party about my case?

We are only able to advise the student directly on their immigration issues.  The exception to speaking to third parties is if an embassy or the Home Office contacts us regarding your immigration application or from the border.  We will always follow-up by emailing advising you what was discussed.

Can you help me with my Tier 4 visa application?

Before requesting to get your application form checked, please read our detailed guidance on applying for the Tier 4 visa.

Applications made outside the UK

We are unable to check applications made outside the UK. If you have a question about a specfic part of the form, which is not answered in our guide, please send us a screenshot of the question, so that we can assist you.
