Staff Wellbeing Week 2017

With the New Year well and truly upon us, it’s the perfect time to think about wellbeing and our own self-care for 2017, whether that’s continuing something we already do, or starting something completely new.    Our next wellbeing events are on:

Thursday 26th of January 2017
and
Tuesday 31st of January 2017

We will be running the same content of activities on both days.

There will be smoothie making, yoga stretching, fitness testing, herbal tea drinking, personal development reading fun to be had on campus. And if you’ve one of our early birds into work why not pick up a complimentary healthy caffeine-free hot drink from one of our great LSE eateries before 9.30am, (just ask staff for details on which drinks apply).

From getting your 5-a-day to having a go at that little bit of yoga you’ve always been meaning to try, reading for personal development or just finding more time to relax, there is much we can do to help set 2017 up positively.

Staff volunteering leave

Recognising the positive effect volunteering can have on wellbeing, the new web page has been updated and moved to its new home on the Staff Wellbeing webpages in the left hand menu. On this page, you will find links to the information about the leave provision, how to apply, external organisations that can help you find a volunteering opportunity, an online form and links to the School’s fantastic Volunteering Centre.

And another thing…!

It’s already underway but why not take a look at the workplace challenge active lunch website. It’s an initiative currently being run. It’s quite simple, you create yourself a profile and you get points for what activities you do. There are leader boards for national and at your work place, might help create some friendly competition. Details can be found here: http://www.workplacechallenge.org.uk/activelunch
