Leadership in Action 2014 whole cohort

For three days in early April, LSE's New Academic Building played host to thirty-six doctoral students and early career researchers from LSE, the Institute of Education and King's College London who were participating in Leadership in Action, a three-day intensive course designed to prepare researchers for leadership roles.

The experiential programme, pioneered by Vitae|, gives participants the opportunity to lead small groups in a range of activities - from launching fundraising campaigns to running crisis headquarters during an urban terrorist attack - that develop key leadership skills such as negotiation, co-operation and decision making.

We'll be adding more photographs and video from the event to this page in the coming weeks, but meantime here is a Wordle produced from what the participants and facilitators on the programme consider to be the core attributes of a good leader.

This short film was made at a working lunch in June 2012, at which LSE's participants in Leadership in Action 2012 reflected on their experience of the programme.
