The journey to parenthood can be an exciting and unpredictable time. It can also be the first time that an employee will need to rebalance their lives to take account of physical, emotional and psychological changes as well as an increasing complexity brought on by the sheer number of things to be done and new responsibilities.
LSE recognise that in order to support a smooth transition to working parent, employees need to have clearly defined practices and policies, a supportive culture as well as opportunity of a mentor to guide and support them.
The objectives of this one day workshop, run by leading work-life balance organisation 'Working Families' are to:
-
Introduce the concept and process of mentoring and it's usefulness for expectant and new parents at work
-
Provide key tools for the successful mentoring relationship
-
Provide the opportunity to learn and grow the skills you need to be a mentor
Next workshop: Thursday 27 June 2013
