Staff paid on LSE / Higher Education scales
Most staff employed by the School are paid on the LSE Single Spine, implemented as part of the School's Pay Framework in 2006.
(Staff employed directly by LSE Enterprise Ltd, although paid through the School's payroll, are not paid on LSE scales.)
The LSE Single Spine is up-rated in line with the pay award agreed by the national Joint Negotiating Committee for Higher Education Staff which consists of representatives from UCEA (Universities and Colleges Employers Association) and all the Higher Education unions (including the three unions which represent LSE staff - the Universities and Colleges Union (UCU), UNISON and UNITE).
The national pay negotiations for 2014-15 between UCEA and the HE trade unions reached an agreement over the national pay award, to be implemented in August 2014. Compared with the August 2013 rates of pay, the award increases all annual salary amounts on the LSE spine by 2%.

The pay scales are available to view in PDF format.
