Hiking with Hackshall: Seaford to Eastbourne (12 miles)
To celebrate the long days of the English summer, a bracing clifftop walk has been organised for LSE staff, starting from Seaford and finishing in Eastbourne, on the south coast. This is a classic walk (one of the finest in England) and will include fantastic views of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head. There are a series of ascents and descents with this walk, some more gradual than others, but the views will more than make up for this!
For your information an early start will be necessary in order to complete this 12 miles walk at a reasonably relaxed pace. The group will be getting the 9.17am train from Victoria and we will need to change at Lewes for Seaford. At the end of the day, the walk will finish around 5pm at Eastbourne station (as this will depend on the pace of the group it would be best to only book beforehand a single ticket for the journey out).
