Values in Practice Awards (VIP) for Professional Services Staff

Nominations for the 2016 VIP Awards now open

The Values in Practice Awards offer you an opportunity to commend your professional services colleagues who have shown outstanding commitment and made a significant contribution to the School over the past year.

Nominations for the 2016 VIP Awards are NOW OPEN. The nomination form can be found here, so be sure to nominate colleagues in professional services who have shone over the past year. Completed forms need to be submitted by Friday 25 November to hr.vip-awards@lse.ac.uk.

Categories

The VIP Award categories are:

  • Rising Star
    This award recognises an individual in the early stages of their career who has substantially grown in their current role within a relatively short period of time, having initiated, coordinated and/or achieved a significant activity.
  • Unsung Hero
    Awarded to an individual who consistently performs to an exceptional standard or goes above what is expected in their role, but whose work may not always be visible to many.
  • LSE Citizenship, Team
    Awarded to a team who markedly and consistently show high standards in their work, whilst maintaining positive and inclusive working relationships and demonstrating commitment to the School’s core principles and expected behaviours.
  • LSE Citizenship, Individual
    Awarded to an individual who markedly and consistently show high standards in their work, whilst maintaining positive and inclusive working relationships and demonstrating commitment to the School’s core principles and expected behaviours.
  • The Director’s Award
    This is awarded by the Director and the recipient is selected from among the nominations received for awards in the other categories.

The judging panel, made up of a representative cross-section of staff and chaired by Andrew Young, Chief Operating Officer, will meet in December to shortlist the finalists and decide on the winner for each award.

All individuals and teams shortlisted for an award will be invited to a VIP Awards afternoon in January 2017, where we will celebrate everyone’s achievements and the winners will be presented with their awards.

Many thanks to everyone who nominated colleagues for the 2015 VIP Awards, we had a great response with over 80 nominations from across LSE. The worthy winners can be all be found here.
