On 4th September 2012 the School held its first formal meeting with UCU regarding the reform of the Academic Annex. Prior to the meeting the School put forward draft wording for a proposed new academic annex and related new HR procedures. At the meeting, UCU raised some issues of key principle which the School agreed to consider.
On 18th September 2012 the School held a further meeting with UCU. Prior to the meeting, the School provided UCU with a document (Reform of the Academic Annex, The School's Approach) setting out the business case and the key principles it was following in terms of employment legislation and best practice.
A further meeting with UCU is due to take place on 9th October 2012.
