All employees of the School are expected to be at work according to their contractual arrangements unless they have agreed absence with their manager under one of the School's absence policies.
Unauthorised absence is any absence that has not been authorised by an employee's manager in accordance with the rules of one of the School policies. If an employee is away from their normal place of work on School business then this is not considered absence. School business includes conference attendance, working at home and visiting abroad for research.
Managers should report any unauthorised absence on the first day of absence to email@example.com.
