Equality and diversity

The School seeks to ensure that people are treated equitably, regardless of age, disability, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, religion and belief, sex, sexual orientation or personal circumstances. Equality and diversity are integral to the School's priorities and objectives.

We will support inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue and understanding and engage all students and staff in playing a full and active role in wider engagement with society.

Equality and Diversity On-line Learning Programmes

LSE believes in valuing and celebrating its diversity and encourages members of the School to engage and participate in its equality and diversity agenda.

With recent changes to equalities legislation and the introduction of the LSE's Single Equalities Scheme|, we are pleased to announce the launch of two new Diversity e-learning programmes available to all staff. One is aimed at all staff and students and an additional course is available if you are in a managerial role.

All staff members are requested to complete the on-line learning and we ask that new staff in both support and academic roles complete the online courses within the first week or so of joining the LSE.
