The LSE HR division will be running new one-day Career and Financial Planning Workshops termly from July 2012.
Increasingly in a changing world it is important to take control of your future and staff at whatever age of their working life may wish to consider their career plans and to change their working patterns to suit their individual circumstances. Thus with the abolition of the default retirement age and staff working more years than before, it is vital for staff to review opportunities and recognise personal career and lifestyle needs and to plan for the future.
This is a highly interactive workshop which provides staff at all levels with information on preparing to undertake a review of their career and to plan their finances accordingly, outlining the options that are available to support them. Staff can attend this session at any point in their career, to include both those who are planning to retire soon and those who are not yet due to retire but may wish to consider their future options.
The Workshop will include:
Why plan now – the implications of working longer
Personal reality & change – to review Career to date and plan for the future
Money management – mortgages, tax, investment strategies, wills
Introduction to LSE Pension Schemes and retirement planning guidelines
Portfolio working and consultancy – fit for purpose?
This workshop brings together staff from across the School.
