Termination of contracts

Guidance on the recruitment and management of fixed-term contracts is available to help managers achieve best management practice in this area. Advice should also be sought when recruiting to a fixed-term contract, terms and conditions and/or termination of such a contract.

Whilst it is the policy of the School to avoid compulsory redundancies wherever reasonably practicable, it is possible that circumstances may make them unavoidable from time to time, for example in cases of restructuring or expiry of funds.  Please see the redundancy procedure for further information.
