First Class train ticket upgrades

If you are pregnant and travelling by train you may be eligible for a free First Class upgrade by your train operator.

The following train operators offer 1^st class priority seating for expectant mothers:

• National Express East Anglia
• First Capital Connect
• South West Trains
• Southern Railway

Terms and conditions differ for each operator and while First Capital Connect, South West Trains and Southern Trains need to see a copy of your MATB1 certificate, National Express East Anglia needs a confirmation from your employer stating the last day of your travel.
