HR Information & Systems provides high quality management information and systems development for the School.
We prepare and present staff information for managers, committees and a number of external organisations. Our information helps to inform the strategic direction of both the Human Resources function and the wider School, and also assists managers at a local/departmental level in making decisions to improve effectiveness and solve HR issues.
We are responsible for the development of the School's HR IT Systems, including ResourceLink (our HR and Payroll database) and the WCN e-recruitment system.

What we do
Providing Management Information for the School HR Information & Systems produce a number of reports for various stakeholders around the School. These include reports focusing on absence, turnover, staffing levels and other information tailored to specific internal committees.
Many of these reports,as well as a request form for ad-hoc queries, are available to staff online here.
Providing Management Information to External Bodies
HR Information & Systems also produce data and a number of reports for external providers. These include the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the Office for National Statistics, and the Russell Group (working group of top 20 Universities with a high proportion of research staff).
Managing & Developing the HR Systems
HR Information & Systems holds overall responsibility for the School's HR IT systems. This includes the main HR Database, ResourceLink, as well as School's online recruitment system WCN, the report writing tool Business Objects and the HR Oracle forms (which allows Managers from around the school to view personal data relevant to their team). These systems are not only maintained, but actively developed to ensure they continue support the School in the most effective way possible.
