Summary
The HR division has been been working on the HR Optimisation Programme since its inception in 2015.
The Division's vision is to provide strategically driven customer service that proactively supports the School's objectives. This is achieved through:
- Proactive, efficient, customer-focused HR Service Delivery.
- A culture of high performance and innovation.
- Provide greater transparency, communication and accountablity for HR systems processes and services.
Achievements
The HR Optimisation Programme has many strands - and during 2015/16 the following projects were implemented:
- The new e-Recruitment System, an upgrade motivated by the desire for a more user friendly systems solution - aimed at making the processing of recruitment campaigns more efficient and flexible for managers in the School.
- ResourceLink Webview, the replacement of the client version of ResourceLink with a new, future-proofed web-based platform.
- The HR Organisational Hierarchy - an exercise where the post to post hierarchy of each department and division was mapped with the input of local managers, allowing for much greater accuracy in reporting and laying the groundwork for future self service developments
Future Developments
Arriving in early 2017, MyView is the School's new Employee and Manager self-service portal.
An add-on to the School’s current HR & payroll system, ResourceLink - MyView is a web based portal that provides a secure, controlled environment where employees can modify non-sensitive HR data about themselves.
It can be used to submit annual leave requests, view your payslip online and input sickness notifications. If you have line management responsibility - MyView enables you to do everything from approving leave requests to accessing and analysing data about your team.
In addition, a new Academic Review and Promotions System is planned - which will allow the school to manage the Faculty career-track more efficiently.
