If you have a research project you would like to find funding for or if you have seen a research funding opportunity you would like to pursue, your first port of call is the Research Development team within the Research Division. To discuss your idea, email our research development managers, Dr Aygen Kurt-Dickson or Ana Alvarez Serra .
Research development managers
Dr Aygen Kurt-Dickson and Ana Alvarez Serra are the Division's dedicated research development managers (RDMs) and are involved in the development of strategic research planning for both centres and departments.
Well practiced in sourcing funding and ensuring that your research application strategy is harmonised with the overall aims of a research cluster, these managers are the first point of contact for heads of academic units and academic unit managers. To discuss your idea, book an appointment with a research development manager.
Business partnerships manager
Horatio Mortimer is the Division's business partnerships manager. He identifies appropriate corporate research partners and funding opportunities, develops and sets up long-term sustainable research partnerships with the corporate sectors whilst ensuring compliance with LSE regulations. To discuss corporate research funding further, contact our business partnerships manager.
Grant applications managers and research awards managers
Each academic department and research centre has a member of staff dedicated to providing professional advice on developing a researcher's grant application and managing a successful award. Get in touch early to inform us of your application or award.
Based on your department you are allocated:
-
a grant applications manager (GAM) during the application stage (Research Development team)
-
a research awards manager (RAM) once your application has been successful and the contract is signed (Research Awards team).
