Self-cleaning floors and nanobot binmen in tomorrow's home
The Times, 22/11/2013, p.5, Tom Whipple
In homes of the future there will be no waste, only fuels. There will be no soap, only “ultrasonic cavitation technologies”. More importantly, there will be no arguments over sorting the recycling: the nanobots will do that. Academics from the London School of Economics and Veolia, the waste management company, have envisaged how we might live in 40 years’ time and it seems that, mainly, we will be a lot cleaner.

Bog Different
The Times, 22/11/2013, p.28, Unattributed
We are indebted to the team from the London School of Economics and Veolia, the waste management firm, that has envisaged a home of the mid-21st century equipped with self-sorting rubbish streams and counter tops that need no wiping.

Why you'll never need to clean up the home of 2050
Daily Express, 22/11/2013, p.20, Sarah O'grady
Some of these technologies are already in development, according to a study by environmental services company Veolia Environment in partnership with the London School of Economics. In this more efficient home, emissions will be reduced by 80 per cent and water consumption by almost a third.

...while the LSE lands an expansion prospect
Evening Standard, 21/11/2013, p.66, Peter Bill
Just across The Strand from King’s College lies the London School of Economics. This week the LSE announced that architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners had been selected to design a £90 million Centre for Global Sciences.
