Golliwog remark is clear racism, Judges Declare
The Times, 19/12/2013, p.5, David Sanderson
To use the word ‘golliwog’ in the presence of a black person is tantamount to harassment as it is "obviously racist and offensive", three senior judges ruled. The case involved a chef at the London School of Economics, a black colleague and a discussion in 2009 about food packaging during which the subject of the character's removal from Robertson's jam jars came up.
