Obituary of social anthropologist Peter Loizos, chiefly known for a trilogy of books chronicling the turbulent history of Argaki in Cyprus. He joined the department of Social Anthropology at the LSE in 1975, remaining there for the next 30 years and attracted Cypriot students to the university.
