FREE TICKETS FOR LSE STUDENTS FOR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER'S NEW MUSICAL AT THE ALDWYCH THEATRE

Update - Thursday 12 December, all the tickets available today have been distributed.

Thanks to all those LSE students who donated to get a ticket. You have raised £2750 for the LSE Students' Union RAG (Raising and Giving) society, who have been raising money for Spires|, a day centre for homeless and vulnerable people and provides support, food, and clothing. All of the money donated will go to Spires.

Many thanks to Andrew Lloyd Webber who was very keen for young people and students to be some of the first to see his new musical and learn about the Profumo affair, whilst also making a contribution to charity, and who gave these tickets to LSE. Without his generosity this would not have been possible.

STEPHEN WARD| charts the rise and fall from grace of the man at the centre of the Profumo scandal.

Friend to film stars, spies, models, government ministers and aristocrats; his rise and ultimate disgrace coincided with the increasingly permissive lifestyle of London’s elite in the early 1960s.

Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Christopher Hampton and Don Black, and directed by Richard Eyre, the musical centres on Ward’s involvement with the young and beautiful Christine Keeler and their chance meeting in a West End night club, which led to one of the biggest political scandals and most famous trials of the 20th century.
