How the photo relates to the theme of 'risk':
"This photo shows dead trees cut in Galveston (TX, USA) one year after the hurricane Ike devastated the island. Risk is immanent to hurricane areas, running before, during, and after storms. The dead, hollow, tree was a danger, a symbol of the fragility of human condition before the force of nature; and a symbol of the essence of risk: a concealed void, within an apparently solid bark."
