Montreal Streets

How the photo relates to the theme of 'risk':

"Montreal is particularly vulnerable to seismic events since a significant portion of its infrastructure is old and deteriorated or has been designed according to standards that predate the development of modern seismic design standards. This is clearly evident in its pavements, where repair work is slow, and the numerous cracks and crevices pose a considerable risk to walkers."
