How the photo relates to the theme of 'risk':

"The famous San Francisco sea lions from Pier 39 disappeared in December 2009. This picture from summer 2008 shows the seemingly risky fight between two males for their hierarchy in the population on the pier while the far greater risk of their disappearance is not known yet."
