03 Mother and Daughter in Mexico

03 Mother and daughter in Mexico|

This picture was taken by Sylvia Chant, Professor of Development Geography.

Taken in a newly established urban slum in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, against a background of poor and precarious housing.this picture reflects the continuity and joyousness of close social relations, in this case between a young mother and her daughter. Hope rather than despair deflects attention from the physical foundations of the child’s future.

The next image is Fabulous Fabians|.
