This picture was taken by Joel Suss, Assistant Editor of British Politics and Policy blog, in the Public Policy Group, a research centre which is part of the Government Department. It was taken in Roorkee, India.
Wandering around the streets of Roorkee, a small town around 300 km North of Delhi, I was fascinated by the various characters and tradesmen. I decided to talk with as many local people as I could, get to know them and take their picture. These builders were very happy to take a break to chat and have their photo taken. They wanted to show-off and clown-around in front of my camera.
