I took this image in Ljubljana a couple of days before Christmas. I wanted to take a picture of these three women with their cloud of red balloons as soon as I spotted them because they made such a wonderful contrast to the cold, grey city. When I stopped them to ask if I could take their picture and what the balloons were for, they explained they were on their way to visit the children's hospital. I thought this was such a kind gesture, hearing about it must have cheered up my day as much as the children's.
