This picture was taken by Krupa Asher, a postgraduate student in the Department of International Development. It was taken in Kolkata, West Bengal, India in April, 2012.

I went on a photo walk to a bustling market area of Kolkata one evening. Amidst the foot traffic, car traffic and trolley traffic, I noticed a fruit vendor calmly sitting by the side of the road waiting for customers. I caught this picture as a man wearing a shirt as brightly coloured as the vendor's guavas, stopped to ask the price.
