This picture was taken by Milla Akimova, a undergraduate in the Department of International Relations. It was taken in Chonsam, North Korea in March 2013.

We were at this co-operative ‘farm’ (though we didn’t see much farming) and I noticed these two children on the porch of one of the houses. Their innocence and playfulness really enlivened the bleak atmosphere.
