This picture was taken by Rasheed Saleuddin, a postgraduate student from the Department of Government. It was taken in Bangladesh in November 2009.
These fishermen were workers who fished my cousin's pond in return for a percentage of the fish. Very few fish were caught, but a lot of soggy water hyacinths needed to be removed from the nets. Very tough work for very little reward. The fishermen wear their street clothes on their heads to keep them dry while they work.
