This picture was taken after crossing the Blue Nile Falls near the city of Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. The picture depicts a modern Ethiopian newlywed couple in midst of country folk after having crossed the Blue Nile and entered into a strictly rural zone. The women depicted here harvest the grains and sell them to travellers. Across the river one finds sugar cane fields (and children trying to eat some).
