09 Drumming in D.C.

This picture was taken by Aneri Patel, a postgraduate student from the Department of Geography and Environment. It was taken in Washington D.C. 

Every weekend, a group would come with their drums and people would dance in the park.  I was struck by the woman in the front, and the rich diversity of the predominantly African-American neighbourhood of U Street.
