This picture was taken by Guo Cheng, a graduate student from the Department of Media and Communication. It was taken in Xi'an,Shanxi Province, China at the Terracotta Warrior Museum in September 2010.

The Terracotta Army is a collection of 8,099 life-size terra cotta figures of warriors and horses located in the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. The figures were discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, Shaanxi province. I shot them because they look so sad and splendid.
