02 Bird on tree at dusk

Bird on Tree at Dusk

This picture was taken by James Nianias a undergraduate student from the Department of Philosophy. It was taken on 23 March 2009 in Tikal, Guatemala.

I took this photo because the presence of a singular, large bird on a small, bare tree seemed to stand in such contrast to the overwhelming density of living things in the jungle.
