06 Night market and royal palace

Night market and royal palace

This picture was taken by Saskia Baer, an undergraduate student from the Department of Anthropology. It was taken in September 2010, in Luang Prabang - Laos.

The night market of Luang Prabang is probably more renown than the Royal Palace in the background. As night falls, there is a hustle and bustle as street vendors set up their stalls and sell handicrafts from the surrounding hill tribes and knick-knacks imported from Vietnam.

The next image in this month's perspectives is Perseverance.|
