Vitality

This picture was taken by Yecheng Kent Cao, an intercollegiate undergraduate(Home Student of UCL, Institute of Archaeology) from the Department of Anthropology. It was taken on December 30, 2010 at Market Street in San Francisco.

The photo was taken one winter morning. I was amazed at seeing the cable car driving through the smoke and sunshine, which inspired me to think this very scene might be an appropriate symbolic representation of the vitality of the USA.
