This picture was taken by Lilia Kyuchukova, a postgraduate student from the Department of Accounting and Finance. It was taken in August 2009, at Lake Tonle Sap Cambodia.
I visited Lake Tonle Sap, which is one of the many places in the world in which people live in extreme poverty. Ironically, this place is currently turning into a popular tourist destination which fortunately improves the wellbeing of the people in the village. I took this picture, because I was amazed by the simplicity of the life these people were living. This is not just hard life, but it is a world full of "simple" surprises. After I took the picture, the girl in the middle, rowed back home in her pot-boat. She thanked me for taking a picture of her.
