This picture was taken by Yoeri Emir Mochtar, a postgraduate student in the Department of International History. It was taken on March 31 2010, in the small port of Nuweiba (Egypt) coming by boat from Aqaba (Jordan).
The picture was taken in Nuweiba (Egypt) after coming from Aqaba (Jordan) by boat. The boat was only 8 hours delayed so I was lucky to arrive around sunset. The mountain range on the other side is Saudi Arabia. The Gulf of Aqaba is known for its calm and beautiful corals, and connects Jordan and Israel to the Red Sea. I was lucky to actually capture Saudi Arabia's rocky shores.
