Taken in the Chinotimba township in the border town of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, the present moment of the country is crystallised through the harsh reality of the wire fence, restraining the population at the border of the future. The trepidation on the boy's face is representative of the sentiment in the country: "Can we make the crossing into the future, or will the past and the present continue to hold us back?"
