03 Crossing borders

Crossing borders

This picture was taken by Hannah Rose Thomson, an undergraduate student from the Department of  International Relations. It was taken in December 2010, at  River Exe, Exeter, UK.

The swans and cygnet are restricted by icy and impenetrable borders. Only by taking flight does the gull move freely, crossing borders.

The next image in this month's perspectives is Crossing the border of generations.|
