11 Vast nothingness

Vast nothingness

This picture was taken by Prajakta Kharkar, a postgraduate student in the Department of Economics. It was taken on October 23 2010, in Blackpool.

I found this pristine beach most inspiring. The sand, the sea and the sky look as though in an untouched, uninterrupted union - as if it's a single vast expanse. The sun too subtly makes its presence felt with just a soft glimmer from behind the dark clouds. Every time I see this picture, I feel that I am present there.

The next image in this month's perspectives is Winter world of love.|
