Umbrellas in Trafalgar Square

Umbrellas in Trafalgar Square

This picture was taken by Jean Morris, an administrator in the Department of Media and Communications. It was taken on November 12 2010, at Trafalgar Square, London.

On a rainy day, the shadowy reflections of hurrying people and their accoutrements in the shiny, wet surface of the Square's huge, open area of pavement stand out clearly – shapes and figures in another world, an underworld.  I particularly liked the glimpsed reflections of these two umbrellas.

The next image in this month's perspectives is Untitled.|
