This photo was taken by Michael Siegel, a postgraduate student in the Development Studies Institute / Geography and Environment Departments. It was taken in the Kanyama slum in Lusaka (Zambia), 30 June 2008.
I was working in Kanyama for the National Voluntary Counselling and Testing Day for HIV/AIDS when two women who were selling fish asked me to take a picture of them in front of their stand. I was very touched by these women's emotions revealed in this picture.
