This photo was taken by Pushpa Arabindoo, a PhD student in the Geography and Environment department. This photo was taken in the Yokohama International Passenger Terminal in Japan on 21 December 2008.

'This picture was taken to capture a highly aestheticised transit space. The Yokohama International Passenger Terminal in Japan is designed by Foreign Office Architects who won an international competition in 1994 with a proposal to create a fluid, uninterrupted, multidirectional space, emphasising a continuation of topography between the inside and outside.'
