This photo was taken by Somika Basu, a MSc student in Communication, Information and Society.  This photo was taken in a bonded labour village in rural India.

'I took this photograph during an interview, in which this little girl's mother and grandmother (seen in the background) told me that they want future generations to have more freedom than they did. NGOs are still trying to abolish bonded labour practices.'
