'I took this picture on the day before Tobaski in Banjul, the capital of The Gambia, December 2007, when fattened rams are slaughtered by the eldest male of the family for the ritual feast of 'Eid Al Adha', commemorating the moment when God told Abraham not to sacrifice his son but a sheep instead. Although all these rams were likely to end up on somebody's plate the following day, they were perhaps showing en masse resistance by breaking the 'no parking' restriction!'
