'In April 2004 I attended a Summer School for an Ecology course at Malham Tarn on the Yorkshire Moors. My main research was on the effects of urban pollution on upland streams and I had the great pleasure of walking for many miles around one of the most beautiful areas in this country. And the weather was perfect.'
