'The image was taken at dawn, whilst the morning mist was rising over the ancient Peruvian ruins. We'd been walking around for a while, and my friend sat down to get something out of her lunchbox, and that's when I took the picture. It's very atmospheric, and I like the contrasting shades of black and grey that stripe across it.'
