'I remember being surprised by the way traditional life fitted so naturally into modern Poland although this seems to be changing. Since joining the EU while the cities like Warsaw and Lodz buzz with modernisation and in time this will spread to the rural areas so this farmer may not be using his horse and cart for very much longer'.
