Second hand

Our second hand department consists of academic and scholarly works including student textbooks, publisher review copies and older collections.

This is a valuable resource for those on a tight budget, or for those looking for out-of-print titles.

We provide a student textbook buy-back scheme, offering 30% of the retail price in cash or 40% in Waterstone's vouchers on 'essential' titles. We may buy non-essential titles at a different rate. Books must be the current edition, in reasonable condition and without highlighting. Please make an appointment to avoid disappointment. Waterstone's vouchers can also be exchanged at HMV.

We are able to review lists in advance by email:|

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse books without giving a reason.

We also value and purchase collections upon request. Please email or telephone for a valuation.

We stock an extensive range of UK and American remainders in academic and non-academic subjects. This range is constantly changing as new stock arrives. Whilst we cannot order specific titles we will reserve stock for up to a week.
