Our second hand department consists of academic and scholarly works including student textbooks, publisher review copies and older collections.
This is a valuable resource for those on a tight budget, or for those looking for out-of-print titles.
We provide a student textbook buy-back scheme, offering 30% of the retail price in cash or 40% on a Waterstones Electronic Gift Card for 'essential' titles. We may buy non-essential titles at a different rate. Books must be the current edition, in reasonable condition and without highlighting. Call in or make an appointment. Please note that we do not buy between 12-3 pm.
We are able to review lists in advance by email: We are able to review lists in advance by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse books without giving a reason.
We also value and purchase collections upon request. Please email or telephone for a valuation.
We stock an extensive range of UK and American remainders in academic and non-academic subjects. This range is constantly changing as new stock arrives. Whilst we cannot order specific titles we will reserve stock for up to a week.
